Every year, Rowntree Montessori Academy celebrates Valentine’s Day with great pomp and splendour. Not only do students enjoy a fun-filled activity day, but also a talent show! The whole school dresses itself in red and pink, with teachers and students projecting a festive mood. It’s also a day to celebrate sharing and caring! The Cookie Gram Program provides us with this opportunity.
The Primary students have a day filled with making Valentine cards for their parents, Valentine crafts, and activities. The excitement slowly mounts to get students ready for the much awaited Talent Show! It becomes the perfect opportunity for our shy students to bloom!
All in all, it is a wonderful day to look forward to for our students at Rowntree. As Helen Keller once quoted, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” Surely, one can feel this spirit, while walking down the hallway!
