Learning About Mindfulness in Grade 3
Learning about mindfulness is an important lesson at Rowntree Montessori Schools. Students learn about mindfulness, and its importance at a very young age. Mindfulness is a buzz word we hear often in the media. Mindfulness isn’t just for adults. At Rowntree, our grade 3 students recently had a lesson unit on the Importance of Practicing Mindfulness. Students we taught how they can use mindfulness to calm anxiety, reduce stress, refresh their minds, and help them focus.
The Importance of Mental Health at Rowntree
Rowntree Montessori Schools understands the importance of our students’ mental health and overall well-being. We know that a student’s mental health can affect their performance at school. Thus, we encourage our students to calm their anxiety and stress by practicing meditation, deep breathing, and mindfulness. We truly believe in nurturing our children to help them reach their full potential.
