If we can’t go to the farm, let’s bring the farm to us!
Taking a monthly field trip is important in order to engage our students with the real world. It enables the students to make connections and compare information with practical situations. Because we couldn’t go to the farm, we brought the farm to us! This past month, the students of Rowntree Montessori Schools learned all about Pumpkin season by taking a virtual field trip of the farm, learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin, and making various pumpkin crafts.
