The safety and health of our students, teachers, and staff is our #1 priority. RMS is doing a number of things to protect the health and safety of our students, teachers, and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. These practices include increased daily cleaning, and sanitation and full nightly disinfecting protocols and procedures. Face masks are required for all teachers and staff as well as for students in grades 1 and up and highly recommended to be worn by all students. In addition to this, all of our teachers and staff have been trained on the correct and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and all of our enhanced health and safety protocols. All high-touch surfaces in common areas, (doorknobs, stair rails, and any surfaces that children may come into contact with) are cleaned and disinfected constantly throughout the day. After every school day, a full deep cleaning and sanitization occurs every evening and an additional team completes a full disinfecting process of all campuses (classrooms, desks and chairs, washrooms, offices, and common areas) nightly. Hand sanitizing stations are available in all classrooms and throughout the entire school.
The Importance of Social Distancing
Furthermore, teachers, staff, and students are trained about the importance of maintaining social distancing. Posters, signage, and social distancing markers are displayed throughout the school to help encourage and remind the students to practice safe habits. All high-touch surfaces in common areas are cleaned and disinfected throughout the day. A full, deep cleaning with school-wide disinfecting of all campuses (classrooms, desks and chairs, washrooms, offices, and common areas) is completed in the evening after every school day.
