RMS hopes to see you at the Santa Claus Parade!

Only one more sleep until the Brampton Santa Claus parade tomorrow (Saturday November 19 at 5:00pm)!

Everyone is excited and looking forward to a beautiful and memorable parade day. Below are images of our parade floats in the past few years.

Hopefully you are planning on coming to the parade which starts at 5pm sharp to see Santa and cheer on our students, staff, and parents as we participate for the 12th consecutive year in the Brampton Board of Trade Santa Claus parade which is the largest night time parade in Canada. Our float is early in the parade so don’t be late if you want to see us.

The Brampton Board of Trade is once again looking for this year’s Fan favourite entry! To let them know yours, just log onto the Brampton Board Of Trade Santa Claus Parade’s social sites @BramptonSanta ‏to vote for your favourite band and float on Sunday before 4pm! We are sure working hard on our entry and hope to be your favourite!!

Frozen float wins 2nd runner-up Chairman’s Award

Another memorable Brampton Santa Claus parade.

We are delighted to announce that Rowntree Montessori Schools’ (@RowntreeSchools) float was awarded the 2nd Runner-up for the Chairman’s Award-Best Overall Entry in the Brampton Board of Trade (BBoT) 2014 Santa Claus Parade. We thank the BBoT Santa Claus Parade (@BramptonSanta) Judges for recognizing the devotion and meticulous detail that went into creating our ‘Frozen’ entry. Also, a HUGE THANK-YOU goes out to all those who took the time to vote for us as their Fan Favorites’ – we gathered enough votes to be in 2^nd Place!

Our “Frozen” entry portrayed a large blue-backlit ice castle and a number of other elements from the movie “Frozen” as well as Princess Anna and Snow Queen Elsa, Kristoff, Hans, the charming Trolls, the beloved reindeer Sven and of course Olaf, the friendliest snow man. Our students and staff thoroughly enjoyed participating in the parade as they were dressed as the mentioned characters while singing and dancing to a number of songs such as ‘Let it Go’ along the parade route. Our marchers, dressed as snowflakes, performed a number of dance routines, sharing the good cheer, excitement and spirit of the season with the crowd along Canada’s largest nighttime parade.

We congratulate Hi-Lon Glass on winning the Chairman’s Award for their innovative Snow globe Float and Brampton Hydro (1^st Runner Up to the Chairman’s Award) for their creative Flintstones Christmas entry.

Santa Claus Parade is almost here!

Only three more sleeps until the Brampton Santa Claus parade this Saturday November 15th 5:00pm!

We are in the process of putting on the final touches on our float. Everyone is excited and looking forward to another beautiful and memorable parade day. Here is a picture of our float in last year’s parade.

Nutcracker float wins 1st runner-up Chairman’s Award

We are delighted to announce that Rowntree Montessori Schools (@RowntreeSchools) has been awarded the 1st Runner-up to the Chairman’s Award (2nd place) for its float in the Brampton Board of Trade (BBoT) 2013 Santa Claus Parade. We would like to thank the BBoT Santa Claus Parade (@BramptonSanta) Judges for recognizing our ‘Nutcracker’ entry.

RMS 2013 Parade Float — RMS ‘Nutcracker’ float

Our entry featured a number of elements from the Nutcracker such as Ballerinas, Nutcrackers, Toy Soldiers, and Jack-in-the-box while also incorporating” ‘Twas the night before Christmas”. Children and staff were dressed in a variety of costumes for the above mentioned elements and enjoyed music from the Nutcracker along the record setting crowd along the parade route. Our marchers dressed in teddy bear pyjamas depicted the children who were having the dream and continued to share the good cheer, excitement and spirit of the season at the street level.

Learn ‘How to build a great parade float’ as Mark Essaye from Rowntree Montessori Schools @RowntreeSchools shares with host Sonia Sache @soniasache some fun and interactive demonstrations of elements from one of their award winning floats.
