With the festive season and holidays behind us, the dawn of a cold and dreary season brings an eagerly awaited and much needed event to celebrate: the RMS Annual Winter Dance! The evening of dining and dancing was organized by our energetic and enthusiastic Rowntree Staff led by Mrs. Singh-Bowen. The Grade 8 students opened the dance floor with the Cupid Shuffle, encouraging the teachers and students from Grades 6 and 7 to join in. The evening was a roaring success as both staff and students danced the night away to three hours of upbeat music provided by the Grade 8 student DJs!
Many prizes and surprises were also awarded during the evening. Prizes included the Longest Hula Hoop Dance and the Best Teacher’s Dance. The students had a great time dancing the winter blues away. The evening concluded with the crowning of the Dance King and Dance Queen.
What’s next up on the RMS’ Social calendar? Well, the list goes on and on and on… And it certainly won’t be long before the snow is gone and RMS gets into full gear for the Graduation Dance in June!
