Every year in the month of December, as the holidays approach, all 5 Rowntree campuses participate in a Holiday Door Decorating Competition. It brings the holiday spirit into every hallway and classroom, and the buzz of excitement is evident in every part of the school. The students look forward to showing off their creative sides with the ability to decorate their doors in any way possible that captures the class’s own holiday spirit!
To be in the school at this time of year is very exciting as the entire school is alive with joy and great enthusiasm, as teachers and students strive to represent their own class as best they can. Walking through the school in December is like walking through a winter wonderland, from sci-fi classics to holiday traditions, all walks of life are represented within our school. The school is swelling with friendly competition, banter, and anticipation, to know if all the hard work has paid off as students await the announcement of which class will be crowned the floor’s winner. The triumphant class will have the opportunity to celebrate with a sweet cup of hot chocolate victory!
Aside from the RMS standard of high academics, having fun through the holidays and any special time of the year is encouraged as part of fostering great school morale.
