Field trips are an integral and enjoyable part of the Rowntree Montessori School curriculum and therefore participation is expected. All trips are selected on the basis of combining fun activities with learning experiences designed to meet and/or complement the expectations set out in the Ontario Curriculum.
Our students participate in excursions such as:
- Royal Botanical Gardens,
- Royal Ontario Museum,
- Ontario Science Center,
- Toronto Symphony Orchestra, McMichael Art Gallery,
- Metro Toronto Zoo, and many others.
Our private school students also get to know Brampton better by participating in local events, meeting Brampton artisans, or visiting sites such as the Heritage Theatre and the Heritage Complex. On average, one field trip is planned per month. We always welcome parent volunteers, following a police check clearance from their local police station.
