Over the years, we have been supporting our students through a variety of school events, including our STEM Fair (also known as science, technology, engineering and mathematics fair). This year we had a very successful result with students and their STEM projects. Students used their creativity and problem solving skills to build compasses, engineer solutions to healthcare challenges, conduct electricity through multiple objects, understand how WiFi impacts the environment, and many other valuable learning projects.
Our STEM Fair is one of the biggest events every year at RMS because students from all four campuses come together to participate and view the projects. Students from Grade 4 and up, dressed as scientists are responsible for guiding the younger students, and explaining various activities. Today older students taught younger students how to build bridges, volcanoes and explained the science behind making various sounds from different materials. We are very proud of our students this year, and acknowledge all of the effort and teamwork that went into their presentations.
Besides showing off our love for these subjects during the STEM filled day, our Bake Sale also kept students engaged. We promote school spirit and the love of baking in support of raising funds for our science department. As a result, we start preparing for this day months ahead of time through newsletters and reminders in agendas. Overall today was a great success, and we look forward to next year!
We look forward to seeing you and sharing with you the private school community of which we are so proud!
