GREAT NEWS! RMS has now joined ISP Futures Programme; this is an environmental group that focuses on events such as Litterless Day, World Environmental Day and Earth Day. This is going to be a new and exciting adventure, being able to participate with other ISP students from around the world and it will provide opportunities for school staff and students to connect and learn from each other.
On Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, ISP held a Virtual Teach-In where some of ISP’s students from around the world spoke about the fantastic work they are doing at their schools on environmental sustainability!
RMS’ very own, Asher J., who is a grade 3 Downtown Campus student, spoke about her passion for the environment and earth’s creatures during the ISP Virtual Teach-In. Asher participates in annual Earth Day clean-ups and planting projects at our school, she creates pollinator-friendly gardens, regularly rescues earthworms, and grows her own vegetables and herbs. Most recently, Asher has committed to donating a proceed of her harvest to a local food bank. Asher discussed these initiatives and also encouraged others to grow their own food using recycled materials found at home. Bravo Asher! Thank you for being RMS’ very own environmental steward.
