The Grade 1 class at the Central Park Campus discussed family during Wellness Time last week. Students learned sign language to a song called “We Are A Family”. Instead of singing, students used sign language to perform the song. This song talks about how we are all different but together we still make a family and share the benefits of being part of a family. This heart-warming video shows that here at Rowntree we are inclusive, diverse and although we may all be different, we are still a family. This is not only a great lesson on core values, but is a wonderful way for children to gain confidence and learn a new skill, such as sign language.
