Choirs singing at Battalion game
On Sunday February 3rd, our choir will once again be singing the National Anthem at the Brampton Battalion game. Join us for what is always a fun and exciting afternoon.

Parade Float wins Chairman’s Award!
We are excited to announce that Rowntree Montessori Schools has been awarded the Chairman’s Award (1st place) for Best Parade Float in the Brampton Board of Trade (BBoT) Santa Claus Parade (Brampton Guardian Pg.19 (.pdf 1.3MB)). We would like to thank the BBoT Santa Claus Parade Judges for recognizing our ‘Rockin’ Christmas’ entry.
Our entry featured a joyous upbeat Christmas celebration at a fifties/sixties style diner that included a Jukebox, dance floor, and even drive-up serving windows. Children and staff were dressed in Christmas wear representative of the fifties/sixties and enjoying contemporary reproductions of classic Christmas songs. Our marchers danced away and performed their routines while following our float, and continued to share the good cheer, excitement and sprit of the season at the street level.

Don’t miss the Santa Claus Parade!
Only one more sleep until the Brampton Santa Claus parade tomorrow (Saturday Nov 17th 5:00pm)! Our float is looking fantastic and everyone is excited. Hopefully you plan on going to the parade which starts at 5pm sharp and supporting our staff, students and parents as we participate for the 8th consecutive year in the Brampton Board of Trade Santa Claus parade. Don’t be late if you want to see us as we are early in the parade. Join us for what is always a fun and exciting event at this time of the year. RMS helps launch Toys for Tots
Rowntree Montessori Schools’ students helped launch the Toys for Tots campaign at Canadian Tire (Brampton Guardian article).
Toys for Tots is a charitable endeavour that was initiated in 1993 by Peel Regional Police, in partnership with Canadian Tire and the Salvation Army. During the months of November and December, Police Officers and civilian staff volunteer their time to collect cash, Canadian Tire money and new, unwrapped toys for children in need.
In 2011, Toys for Tots raised over $965,000 to provide over 6,000 children with gifts at Christmas time.
For the last 8 years, Rowntree Montessori Schools has been invited to participate in the Charity Campaign launch and we love it.
