Students applying their Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) skills
-On Tuesday June 10th, 2014 (6:00pm) at the RMS Academy Campus we invite you to join us and see our students demonstrate what they have learned about creating robots. It is always a joy to see young minds at work. As you can imagine, this will be an energetic event full of enthusiasm.
This event will feature a number of stations where our “future scientists” will present various elements of creating a robot, each designed with the goal of achieving a specific task. You will be able to see the following:
-Programming of the robots with loops and switches: Making the robot make decisions
-Downloading of the code onto the robots
-How sensors (ultrasonic, light, colour) are used to make robots interact with their surroundings
-Demonstrations of various robot manoeuvres within its environment
-FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge Demonstrations
-Friendly in-house robotic competition
Although robots are fun to watch, seeing the kids’ excitement is even more exhilarating! Mark this special event in your personal calendar and bring your family and even friends to see it.
When: Tuesday June 10th, 2014 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Where: RMS Academy Campus, 3 Sunforest Drive, Brampton
(Note: Supervision will be available for your child(ren) during the demonstrations and competition)
We look forward to seeing you and sharing with you the private school community of which we are so proud.
