Mrs. T. Rivard is the Principal of the Mayfield Campus, after having been the Principal of our Downtown Campus for 9 years. She is a graduate of Georgian College where she received her Early Childhood Education Diploma. Mrs. Rivard began teaching at the Senior Kindergarten level in 1993. In 1997, she took on the Vice-Principal responsibilities while continuing teaching Senior Kindergarten. She was subsequently appointed Principal at our Downtown Campus in 2003. She has attended various workshops during her time at Rowntree so that she can continue to create a positive, caring and safe environment for the students during their time at Rowntree Montessori Schools.
Mrs. Rivard chose teaching for many reasons: “It is such an amazing experience to see the growth and development of each child, and to be a part of their journey in life-long learning.” She is living her childhood dream of becoming a teacher while working and caring for young children. She continues to explore ways to keep Rowntree a fun and nurturing learning environment.
