Outstanding effort at Model United Nations

Congratulations to the Model United Nations Club for its outstanding effort at the ACMUN Conference at Appleby College on Wednesday April 13, 2011.

Students from various schools across Ontario participated in the conference. Rowntree students were the youngest students attending the conference and participated with high school students. As representatives of different countries around the world, students were debating and negotiating to find resolutions to some major world issues, such as religious beliefs in the 21st century, the current situation in Libya, weapons programs and environmental problems in developing nations. The students were involved in a variety of conferences, including the World Health Organization and the Security Council. Each student was actively involved in the debates and discussions.

The MUN leaders would like to thank all delegates for their hard work leading up to and during the conference. You were outstanding ambassadors of Rowntree and we are very proud of you!
